Welcome to Universal Restorations' home on the World Wide Web.  We are pleased that you have found us and hope that you will take a few moments to look over our site.      Universal Restorations (formerly the L.O.S. Co.) was founded in 1988.  We currently have facilities in New York City, Atlanta and Iowa.  We are proud to have completed numerous historical restorations including the one of a kind 1886 William Mandeville tracker organ in Astoria, NY; the 1901 Morey tracker in Long Beach, NY; the Albert Stanke player organ in Moline IL.  Universal Restorations is also responsible for the restoration of the last remaining Wicks theater organ in its original location, at the historical Capitol Theater in Davenport, IA.      Universal Restorations is a full-service company.  In addition to restoring pipe organs of all kinds, we build and install new, custom built organs and retrofit additions to existing organs.  We also install solid-state key action relays and combination actions.  We refurbish keyboard, string, and wind instruments of all types.  Universal Restorations provides ongoing support to our clients through musical instrument maintenance and tuning contracts.
